Vision & Values

Introduction and Aims of the Organisation

The purpose of California Christian Centre is to give every man, woman and child the opportunity of understanding and experiencing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We aim to provide a church where people can grow in service-based ministry bringing honour to God. California Christian Centre is a self-funded voluntary organisation employing a minimal workforce. It is part of the Assemblies of God Pentecostal denomination which has been serving the people of Great Britain since 1924.

What we do and why

California Christian Centre has a strong emphasis on community involvement. Several initiatives are run weekly, centring on the following objectives:

  • Helping the poor, needy, sick, disabled and elderly
  • Educating and training the surrounding community
  • Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and promoting the kingdom of God
  • Building up the faith of Christian believers
  • Overseas Aid and Famine relief

We do this by providing:

  • Human resources
  • Services
  • Advocacy, advice and information

Target groups

California Christian Centre targets the public but more specifically:

  • Children, young people and students
  • The elderly
  • People with disabilities

We aim to work with other charities and voluntary bodies to achieve our aims and objectives.
