How Can I Give?

We contribute to life at California Christian Centre in a number of ways. This page discusses different ways to give financially, whereas other pages show how you may give your time.

We are thankful whichever way you decide to give.

Standard Order

By far the most convenient way to give is by Standing Order.
If you would like to give this way then please download this form.

Cash or Cheque

You can give by cheque or cash at any of our meetings.

If no collection is made simply ask the venue host and they will receive your gift.
Please make all cheques payable to 'California Christian Centre'. If you are a UK tax player then please complete this form.

Not a UK Taxpayer

If you are not a UK Taxpayer (eg you are a student or perhaps not earning enough to pay tax this year) then please still consider filling in a Standing Order. This will be helpful to both yourself and the church for a number of reasons:

Benefits for you:
  • It enables you to work out how much you want to give each month or each year, and for that to happen until you want to change it, without your having to think about it again.
  • You don’t need to bring cash or a cheque book to church or remember when you’ve missed Sundays, because your giving will happen automatically.
  • It helps you keep track of how much you are giving because it automatically appears on your bank statement.
  • You can stop giving in this way at any time, should you wish to, by simply informing the church and your bank.

Benefits for the church:
  • It saves on the banking of separate cheques and cash.
  • It enables your giving to automatically register on the computerised accounts and the church bank statements.
  • Knowing the regular amounts coming in enables us to budget and plan ahead more effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

By completing a Standing Order form, you are simply stating your intention to give to California Christian Centre. If your circumstances change, you are free to increase, decrease or stop your giving; we just ask that you inform us in writing.
Filling in the Gift Aid Declaration will enable us to claim back from the Inland Revenue, approximately 28p for every £1 given. As you can imagine, this provides a significant increase in the church’s income in return for a little paperwork.
Stewarding the Lord’s money well is a high priority. Every effort is made to ensure money is used responsibly and wisely. Checks are in place to ensure money is used well, and to prevent wastage or theft.

As a Charitable Trust, we are governed by Charity Law. Our accounts are submitted annually, and our Trustees (who receive quarterly copies of the income and expenditure) ensure the money is used for the purpose for which it was given. Copies of the accounts will be made available if you would like to see them.
